The Art Of Making Life Easier And Loving It!
Quickie Chili
This chili is easy to throw together when you are short of time and don't want to experiment with more ingredients.
It will fill a Dutch oven about two thirds of the way. A heavy enameled cast iron pan works best to keep a steady heat. This full it can serve 6-8 people if they're saving room for the Apple Crisp.
This batch is thick and good with crunchy rolls heated in the oven.
If eating alone this chili will make enough for you and for several freezer containers. It doesn't hurt for a living alone person to have leftovers ready to defrost for a quick supper.
Or ready to share eventually with a guest. Maybe a friend who likes old westerns with dusty hats and collects weird horse statues.
Chili is good glue for friendship.
